Quakes, Water, and Winds

The earth shakes, water swells, and winds swirl -- it can only mean Jesus is coming back to restore a new order of peace and bliss. Thus speaketh Rev. Robertson on CNN. I don't know who is more pathetic: the leadership of al-Qaida, taking a brief respite from recruiting desperate folk to blow themselves up (in some mosque or fruit stand) to explain why Katrina and Rita punished the US, or the Rev, for his affirmation of how he and many of his friends associate violence with bliss.

The victims can use help, not theories. To lend a hand to the victims of the earthquake, please donate. You can go here or any other service that's actually helping. To God we belong, and to Him is our return. God have mercy on those who perished, grant patience to those who grieve, and give to those who lost everything. The life of luxury we live provokes only one valid response: gratitude. And gratitude leads to one act: charity.

Peace.

An excellent juxtaposition demonstrating how some practitioners of every religion torture the meaning of their religion to make it unrecognizable to other adherents of their own faith. I suggest implicit hate of an “other” is good evidence a religious interpretation is a mistaken, human-based misunderstanding of God’s will.
