List of Things to Protest

I can use some help here. But so far, off the top of my head, I have this short list below of things that Muslims worldwide or, at least, regionally should have protested or be protesting (peaceably, we hope). The list includes things of the recent past and of the present. By necessity, some of the items must be oversimplified. If I left anything out, please advise me.

1. Darfur, Sudan. Mass killing and evacuation of amazingly helpless people. Muslims killing Muslims for reasons that range from deranged conspiracies or people simply wanting land.

2. Silence concerning Darfur, in the Arab east especially.

3. A fire breaks out at a Muslim girl dormitory in Saudi Arabia, many are killed because they weren't allowed to escape without first putting on their scarves.

4. The continued desecration and destruction of historical monuments of very early Islam in and around Madina for some holy purpose of preventing undue veneration of objects and places.

5. Lack of a free press in most of the Muslim world, where cartoonists can parody stuff that's not authorized by the overseers.

6. Systems, secular and strange religiosity, that corrupt free thinking and promote sedation.

7. Honor killings in Palestine and Pakistan and the bizarre circumstances in which they occur. [Contributor: Hamid]

8. Torture of Muslims (in Muslim countries); prohibition of Islamic atire in Muslim countries and elsewhere; domestic violence (silence of). [Contributor: Anon]

9. [...]

Honor killings in Palestine and Pakistan and the bizarre circumstances in which they occur. In Palestine A Muslim village fighting w/ Christian village over this crap. You've heard about the villager raped in Pakistan no doubt. While these events have no basis in religion, Muslims should be the first to condemn them. Maybe i'm deaf but I don't hear that much clamor from our communities about this.

I protest mass ignorance and apathy.
I cannot purpose the exact surah and ayat in Al Quran but I do recall a prompt to honor with the words (translated) that death is better than oppression.
The life of this world is but a test and trial for salvation purposes. How can the strength of a belief, faith be borne out if not act upon. Oh ye of little faith. I am willing to follow but where are the leaders?
